Help, Potty Overload
Who knew that when my son turned two we would be frequenting every public restroom across the State? He started potty training a few months after turning two and I have to say he is doing a great job. This means however, that I feel like I spend every 5 to 10 minutes in a restroom somewhere. I didn’t have this issue with my daughter as she went from diapers one day to being completely potty trained the next (she was almost three though). I know I should be glad that he is progressing so well and eager to get out of diapers, but I don’t know how long I can sustain the constant bathroom discussion (when did he go? did he have an accident? number one or number two?) and frequent visits to every bathroom under the sun.
He still wears a diaper for nap and bedtime and I haven’t quite figured out how to transition out of that. I am hoping someone has some great ideas about making the switch completely. Please share any and all ideas as I am open to anything. I am proud of him and know that our bathroom obsession will soon change.
I potty trained both of my boys in a week, of usorce I waited till they were 3 to do it. I admire your persistence, but I decided I wasn’t going to make an issue of it. We actually attempted it with our oldest at 2 but it was a miserable time for all of us ( I can only take so much pee). Our daughter is almost 2 and she doesn’t like being in wet diapers and is always pulling them off so we are going to try around 2 with her.
